i'm on utep for a few reasons for what its worth....

1. Hawaii just played a very intense game on national tv at S. Illinois (which started at midnight eastern saturday)and now are playing on less than 48 hours rest

2. This is hawaii's third road game of the trip, losing at boise by 17 before playing s. illinois.

3. utep is rested (did not play saturday) and coming off a mediocre perfromance against san jose st.

4. utep is a bubble team and needs all the wins they can get to ensure an at-large bid -- hoping the conference officials take care of their conference bubble teams.

5. this is utep's last home game of the year and they are playing with revenge from an earlier drubbing at hawaii.

good luck with whatever you choose

MN, like I posted in jimmymo's thread. I am a bit behind on Hawaii info. But I think that Hawaii's Big Guy Sr Center Haim's Shimonovich has flown up to play in this game vs Utep. If this is true, that would be a big boost to the moral, confidence , and energy for the Warriors. He is the power base of this team which makes them balance. Without him, Hawaii has no low post game. In the game against SIll, Hawaii used alot of pass and cut plays, and alot of the UCLA flex offense. Hawaii was able to catch Sill off guard, as they were defending primarily against G Kuebler's 3pts and perimeter shots, as they knew that Hawaii will be weak dow low. Today though, this is an important game for Hawaii for the Wac, and if Haims has made the trip, I will be taking the points. But I still need to verify this. If you find something out about this let me know. Someone at another site told me that ESPN reported he was making the trip, but I need more accurate info. gl and Aloha CC.

On CBS Sportsline, Haim Shimonivich is listed as probable for Monday's game against UTEP. Good luck on your plays everyone! Co-Cap, you got any plays tonight? Thanks! - FawvDog

Here is the info I read...

I just read on the Honolulu Sun's website that he has rejoined the team and is expected to try and play tonight -- reports are that the knee was still stiff in practice yesterday and he is quoted as saying he is not sure how much he will be able to contribute....this info has me second guessing..
